Environmental Clearance

EIA notification 2006, issued by Ministry of Environment and Forests states that prior Environmental Clearance / NOC is required for building/large construction projects/townships/Malls/SEZ/IT Parks/ Hotels before commencement of construction beyond 20,000 m2. Hence, such a construction project needs certain environmental studies, legal documentation and approvals

Consulting Role of EDE–

  1. Opinions/Advice for applicability of Environmental Clearance procedures.
  2. Data collection from all related consultants, scrutiny of data, drafting of application and submission in the requisite formats and annexures for prior Environmental Clearances to authorities
  3. EIA study if required (for projects above 1,50,000 m2builtup area ) - An environmental impact assessment (EIA) is an assessment of the possible impactpositive or negative-that a proposed project may have on the environment, together consisting of the natural, social and economic aspects. Its purpose is to identify, examine, assess and evaluatethe likely and probable impacts of a proposed project on the environment and, thereby, to work out remedial action plans to minimize adverse impact on the environment. It is an important management tool for ensuring the justified use of natural resources during developmental process.
  4. Follow-up action, technical advisory to clients , changes in the proposal if any suggested by the environmental committee, presentation before environmental committee for obtaining environmental clearance
